Stephen Lee is the founder and president of Catalyst Faithworks, a company dedicated to providing churches with capital campaign communication solutions, to help them raise capital funds for growth efforts such as new land and building projects, exterior and/or interior renovations and much more. Usually working alongside veteran stewardship consultants, Catalyst Faithworks has been privileged to serve a growing number of diverse churches across the country each year and has seen a satisfied list of more than 300 church clients raise millions in general congregational giving for church/ministry growth purposes.
As a seasoned creative director, graphic designer and speaker, Steve gained enormous experience in marketing communications as an art director who developed and managed advertising creative accounts at various agencies in Atlanta. Through serving as an elder and communication counsel to a progressive church planting movement that expanded to 20+ churches across Metro Atlanta, he acquired deep insight on the challenges and needs of growing congregations. As Steve worked with these growing churches, he saw a big need for them to have the same level of marketing communications strategies and materials that businesses and political organizations have successfully employed over the years...especially in the area of capital stewardship campaigns. These marketing communication strategies that Steve wanted to bring to church capital campaigns include: delivering consistent, excellent, and compelling campaign materials that unify the congregation under an exciting overall look and message as well as providing well-timed plans of release for maximum top-of-mind awareness.
So in 2001, with 16 years experience in business and church growth development, Steve has led his diverse and talented team of account directors and art directors to leverage its deep church insights and technical expertise in digital design and production to launch a new targeted business, Catalyst Faithworks. Catalyst Faithworks offers easier and more in-depth solutions for churches in the process of a capital stewardship campaign.
To this day, Catalyst Faithworks continues to provide turn-key, quality communication solutions that save churches needed time and people resources. Along with hiring a skilled consultant, architectural firm, and church builder, Steve has positioned Catalyst Faithworks to also be one of the best partners a church can enlist. Through its branded online interface of vast visual references specifically designed for for church capital campaigns, the firm has helped virtually every brand of denominational and non-denominational church develop successful stewardship communications to tell their vision and story with clarity and consistency through superior design, printing, and video services to fit any budget.
Bo Gray, Copywriter
As an account manager for Catalyst Faithworks, Bo Gray brings a wealth of leadership experience that includes 13 years in the marketing communications and graphic design field, and another 14 years in pastoral ministry serving churches in Florida, Virginia, Georgia, and now, North Carolina. Bo oversees sales and implementation of design services for the Catalyst Faithworks affiliate, Communications Direct. He also leads Christ Community Church of Andrews, North Carolina as its volunteer, bi-vocational, founding pastor. In keeping with Christ Community Church’s philosophy of ministry, Bo serves as a lay leader in order to enable the congregation to more fully support outside ministries and mission endeavors. That same heart is behind all Bo does for Catalyst Faithworks. His extensive experience provides church clients with a solid foundation for their stewardship communication support. Bo was for many years a staff writer for a daily newspaper in Tampa, Director of Development & Public Relations at a North Carolina hospital and, most recently, Public Information Officer at Tri-County (NC) Community College. He has successfully planned, administered, and managed the implementation of proven communication programs and graphic design standards. In his own unique manner, Bo weaves essential communications giftedness and experience with his deep understanding of church growth challenges. His background as a teaching pastor gives his clients assurance that he truly understands their position. Utilizing his communications background combined with his pastoral perspective, Bo offers knowledgeable guidance and leadership direction in stewardship development and fundraising endeavors for ministries and building expansion. Bo’s passion is driven by his conviction to see Kingdom extension through local church growth initiatives that genuinely impact their communities. He sincerely wants to help his client churches do the hard yet exciting task of developing a Biblical stewardship culture (time, talents, and treasures). Bo holds a Bachelor of Science (B. S.) degree from the University of Florida and a Master of Divinity (M. Div.) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Happily married since 1980, he and his wife Debbie are parents to six children.
